Chamomile Lemon Nighttime Spritz

As we lean into winter, try this soothing nighttime mocktail in honor of Dry January. It's a perfect way to wind down at the end of the day.

Ingredients:

1 cup brewed chamomile tea, cooled

Fresh lemon juice, to taste

Your favorite sparkling water (I like it with berry flavor), a generous splash

Optional: maple syrup to sweeten

Directions:

Brew chamomile tea and cool slightly. You could even make it ahead and keep some in the fridge. To serve, fill a glass 2/3 with chamomile tea. Top with 1/3 sparkling water and a squeeze of lemon juice. If desired, sweeten with a stir of maple syrup. Enjoy anytime you'd like to wind down.

More Options: Create a custom tea mocktail by brewing your chamomile with other calming herbs like rose petals, lemon balm, and/or lavender. If you're a fan of kombucha, try your favorite flavor instead of the sparkling water.

How it works: Replace your boozy nightcap in dry Janauary in a way that feels intentional and nourishing. Chamomile gently quiets the nervous system and aids digestion, lemon adds brightness so it doesn’t feel blah, and the simple act sipping it from a pretty glass signals the day is ending. You still get a deliberate, calming pause, and a sense of closure for the day, without the sleep disruption, dehydration, or next-day fog that alcohol brings.
