Want to try a tea blend? A great recipe over the holidays, it's also wonderful for making in batches and giving away as gifts.
Ingredients:
3 Tablespoons loose-leaf green or black tea
1 Tablespoon dried orange peel
1 Tablespoon dried apple pieces
1 teaspoon dried rosemary
1 teaspoon cardamom pods
1 teaspoon dried ginger (pieces are better but ground works)
1/2 teaspoon whole cloves
a few white, red or green whole peppercorns, (optional, but they add a nice heat)
Directions:
Mix all the ingredients together in a small bowl. Adjust spices to your preference.
Storeblend in an airtight jar to keep fresh.
To brew, use 2 teaspoons of the blend per cup of boiling water. Steep for 3–5 minutes.
Strain and serve hot. Add maple syrup, or a splash of plant milk if desired.
